These are the important terms that apply to our reduced-price dental services. Please read them carefully before you make any decision about participating.

What do we do?

We provide continuing professional dental education for qualified dental professionals including Dentists, Oral Health Therapists (OHTs), Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapists and Dental Specialists, to help them keep up to date with the latest dental techniques and technologies.

Why do we offer discounted dental services for suitable applicants?

For our educational programs to provide the maximum benefit, we need real life patients like you so that our enrolled OHT’s can complete high-quality dental restorative work.

How does it work?

We run continuing education programs for dental health professionals, and we source suitable patients to receive discounted treatment for relatively straightforward filings in one or more of their teeth.

To determine if you are suitable for the program, we have an application process in which you will need to answer some questions and provide some personal information. If you would like to know how we handle personal information, please read our privacy policy here.

Not all applications will be successful. We will let you know if your application is unsuccessful and why. We are not providing any dental advice at this point.

If your initial application is successful, we will let you know and will make a booking with you for a pre-screening appointment by a qualified dentist, Dr David Kerr. No restorative dental work will be completed at this appointment. Dr David Kerr will take the necessary scans and x-rays to assess your dental health and suitability for treatment as a patient in our education training program.

The pre-screening appointment is free of charge, however you must enter your credit card details to secure an appointment time as a $100 No-Show Fee will be charged if you fail to attend the pre-screening appointment. The No-Show Fee is necessary as we are working to a tight timeline with multiple staff assisting with these pre-screening appointments, and we cannot waste time with people who simply don't bother to show up because the appointment is free. We are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to event participants, so please respect the time of everyone involved.

If you are a suitable candidate and you would like to proceed, we will book you in for an appointment during our course time-slots for you to have the dental work completed. The 2-day live event date is 27th - 29th March 2025 and you must be available for treatment on the day of the event.

At this point, you will be asked to pay a $100 Participation Fee to secure your appointment time during the event. All dental filling treatment provided during the event is free of charge. However, we must charge a Participation Fee to ensure all patients actually arrive for their scheduled appointments. Unfortunately, if patients fail to attend the live event, you can imagine it's extremely disappointing for the Oral Health Therapists who have invested a lot of time and money so they can take part in this event.

We will let you know how many fillings you need. It costs $100 to participate in this event to receive dental fillings, and must be pre-paid on the day of your pre-screening appointment. Filling costs are not eligible for Medicare or private health fund rebates or contributions.

If your pre-screening appointment shows you are not suitable to participate as a patient in one of our courses, no fees will be charged.

If you fail to attend your appointment(s), your pre-paid amounts are non-refundable, so it is very important that you arrive on time for your booked dental appointment.

Your Responsibilities

1 - You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence to ensure this opportunity is suitable for your circumstances.

2 - You must answer any questions truthfully and accurately.

3 - You must attend at your appointment at the scheduled time on the date of your appointment. You are responsible for your own transport to and from the dental clinic where the education program will be hosted.

4 - You agree to be patient and respectful during the treatment and understand that the treatment may take longer than normal as the OHT’s or other dental health professionals are completing the dental work under supervision. There will be a suitably qualified dentist on site at all times during your treatment although they may not always be in your actual treatment room.

6 - You agree to notify us as soon as possible if there are any changes in your circumstances that may affect the planned treatment or your ability to attend your scheduled appointment.

7 - You agree we may retain your application in our records and contact you about future upcoming programs that you might be suitable for. You can let us know at any time if you would like to be removed from this database.

Our Responsibilities

1 - We will ensure that all dental health practitioners enrolled in our course are appropriately qualified (ie they have completed their Bachelor degree and are registered with the Dental Board).

2 - We will notify you as soon as possible if there are any changes to your scheduled appointment time or date.

Minimum participant criteria

1 - You must be over 18 years old to use our services and able to give medical consent. This service is not suitable for children or persons with impaired consent ability.

2 - You must be committed to attending for your treatment. We cannot deliver our education program without patients, and it is important that our booked patients show up on time.

3 - You must disclose if you have a history of adverse reactions to dental treatment, anxiety or other concerns about dental treatment that might impact on your ability to remain calm and seated in the chair for the intended treatment or any other similar difficulties that you might have. The OHT’s need to be able to focus on performing high-quality restorations.

Disclaimer

1 - If you apply to be a participant patient for our training services, your application may not be accepted by us. The training services we offer cover a limited scope of dental treatments and not all applicants will meet the criteria. If your application is unsuccessful at application stage, we are not providing you with dental advice. If you are unsuccessful at the pre-screening appointment, we may make recommendations for you for your future dental care however we will not follow up to make sure you have arranged dental care. This is your responsibility, not ours.

2 - If your application is successful, please note:

2a - Even though supervision will be provided by an experienced dentist, dental work carried out by upskilling or re-skilling OHT’s or other dental professionals carries risk. You must discuss these risks and any concerns you have with the supervising dentist before agreeing to any treatment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions at the pre-screening appointment. If you have further questions, please contact us prior to the intended treatment date. You may still ask questions on the treatment date too.

2b - If we agree to include you in the dental training, there is no guarantee that your dental work will be completed on the day. For example, if your dental requirements change between our initial assessment and the date of intended treatment or there are underlying conditions or complications that come to light, we may not be able to offer you the treatment discussed or complete the intended treatment. In these circumstances, we will make alternative arrangements with you. This may include a refund your pre-paid amount and you needing to seek dental treatment elsewhere.

Limitation of liability

1 - Subject to applicable legislation, we will not be liable to you or any person or entity for loss or damage arising out of your use of our services or any other act or omission that is outside of our control. Our dental health professionals do hold medial indemnity insurance.

2 - Where there is a problem with our services and warranties are implied by law, you acknowledge and agree that the total aggregate liability to us is limited at our discretion to:

-- the provision of those services again, or

-- a refund equal to the total amount paid by you for the services that are the subject of your claim, even if those services were provided to you without cost.

3 - These limitations of liability apply to the fullest extent permitted by law, and survive any termination or expiration of this agreement, or your use of our services.

General

1 - This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You agree to be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland if there was a serious dispute between us.

2 - You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between us as a result of this agreement or use of our services.

3 - If any part of these terms are determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed replaced by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of the terms and conditions will continue in effect.
