1. General Website Disclaimer

This website is designed to let you know more about our training services and our team.  The website is made available subject to this disclaimer, our terms of use www.dentalhealthnetwork.com.au/privacy-and-terms and our privacy policy www.dentalhealthnetwork.com.au/privacy-and-terms.

We aim for our website content to be accurate and up to date but do not accept any responsibility for errors or omissions. We may amend our website content at any time without notice, including making changes to advertised prices on our website.   Student information   Our website will list the expected CPD outcomes of the course you are applying for. The expected CPD outcomes may not apply to you if you are unable to competently demonstrate the skills being taught in the course.

We pride ourselves on the integrity of our course content, our methods and the DHN brand. To maintain our high standards, all participants will need to meet a certain standard of participation in order to receive a certificate of satisfactory completion for the course. If you do not reach the required competency standard by the completion of the course, we will issue you with a certificate of attendance only. We may also make recommendations for you to improve your competency in the skills being taught.

These recommendations may include that you receive one-on-one training with us or re-attend another training program to improve your skills. You would incur additional costs for these options however we are here to help you succeed and any decisions to undertake further training are completely up to you.

As you are aware, CPD outcomes and the ability to apply CPD learnings for your continual development as a dental health professional are based on a self-assessment process. We can teach you the content, provide you with hands-on experience and mentor you during the training, however the final responsibility for your self-assessment remains with you. It is your decision to decide if the training you have completed has given you the skills to competently include the skill within your scope of practice.

Patient information

While our website focuses on the Dental Health Network training we provide, we may also have information on our website for persons wishing to participate in the training program as patients. This may include information about the types of dental candidates that would be suitable to participate in our training as patients. No part of the information provided on our website is intended to be taken as treatment, advice or diagnosis of your dental or other health needs. Do not use the information on our website to self-diagnose or as a reason to delay seeking professional dental or medical advice. You must see a dentist and discuss options for treatment prior to making any decision about your dental treatment. Always seek the advice of a health care professional for appropriate medical advice.

If you apply to be a participant patient for our training services, your application may not be accepted by us. The training services we offer cover a limited scope of dental treatments and not all applicants will meet the criteria. If your application is unsuccessful, we may make recommendations for you for your future dental care however we will not follow up to make sure you have arranged dental care. This is your responsibility, not ours.

If your application is successful, please note:

Even though supervision will be provided by an experienced dentist, dental work carried out by students carries risk. You must discuss these risks and any concerns you have with the supervising dentist before agreeing to any treatment.

If we agree to include you in the dental training, there is no guarantee that your dental work will be completed. For example, if your dental requirements change between our initial assessment and the date of intended treatment or there are underlying conditions or complications that come to light, we may not be able to offer you the treatment discussed or complete the intended treatment. In these circumstances, you may need to seek dental treatment elsewhere.

Any case studies included on our website (including images of decayed teeth where we infer a treatment might fix the dental impairment shown in the image) may have been created from a compilation of the circumstances affecting more than one patient and may not apply to your circumstances. Results achieved with one patient or student may not be achievable with another patient or student.

Where we have used case studies of real patients (if any), we have first obtained their permission to use their personal information and any associated images. Names will likely have been changed.

Information which is submitted through our contact and/or enquiry pages on the website will be used subject to our privacy policy for the sole purpose of assisting with your enquiry and providing general information only.   End.

When you communicate with us using these services, we may collect your personal information. We may have an agent acting on our behalf that monitors and runs our social media sites. In this scenario, they will pass relevant information onto us. We will only use it to help us to communicate with you and the public or for our business purposes. The social media service will also handle your personal information for its own purposes.

Testimonials

For persons participating in our training as a patient: As a regulated health profession in Australia, we are not permitted to accept testimonials from you. This does not stop you from saying nice things about us on your own social media account or letting your friends and family know about your experience of our services. We simply cannot publish anything you say about our dental services on our website, social media or in any other platform over which we have control.

For persons participating in our training as a student: If you provide us with testimonial style information, you agree to our use of your testimonial for our business and marketing purposes for as long as the testimonial remains relevant to our business.
